  • 22 December 2006A full day seminar was jointly organized by the Bombay Industries Association, Mumbai

and DNS ERP team, at Hotel Atithi.

 

Mr. Haresh Motwani, President BIA inaugurated the training seminar.

 

Mr. Jyotindra Zaveri, CEO, DNS e-Business detailed the DNS ERP Software and how the same would seamlessly integrates all business functions in an enterprise on real time basis. He explained the various concepts of ERP and various procedures (modules).  He very lucidly brought out the reason why ERP in an organization succeeds or fails.  The advance features of procurement, VAT & excise integration, inventory, production, and marketing modules were explained lucidly by taking real life examples and case studies.  He sited many examples to illustrate the point that with help of ERP it is possible to become process dependent and not person dependant.  He also stressed to participant that ERP project is not the ‘by-the-way’ project and a good ERP coordinator is required.  He urged participants to study the material published on the website to find articles on ‘reason of ERP failures’, tips on successful implementation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), etc.  He enlightened the audience about benefits of ERP for Small and Medium size Enterprises (SME).

 

The seminar was well appreciated by all participants from different Industry segments from Mumbai, which included top Executives, Directors, and IT professionals, etc.   The seminar proceedings stimulated participants to share their thoughts and thereby making the program quite interactive.   Very encouraging  was received.

ERP SEMINAR AT IEEMA, MUMBAI

Report on Supply Chain System training seminar organized by IEEMA and DNS on 20 December 2006.

A full day seminar was jointly organized by the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers Associations, and DNS e-Business Consultancy, at IEEMA office (Worli), Mumbai.

 

Mr. Jyotindra Zaveri, CEO, DNS e-Business discussed various aspects of supply chain management.  He sited many examples to show the sales order integration with material requirement planning, stock in hand, getting the purchase indent quantity by exploding the Bill of Material (BOM).  How ERP software tightly integrates various functions such as material management, purchase, sales, etc.

 

The seminar was well attended by small and medium scale enterprises from Mumbai and Pune.  Participants were various manufacturing and service sector, such as, UPS manufacturing company, paper mill, etc.   Most of the participants wanted more of similar training program in future.

 


  • 11 October 2006.  A one day training seminar was organized by DNS e-Business Consultancy at the Residency Club, Pune    [Please click on the picture to enlarge].

Mr. Jyotindra Zaveri, discussed in detail ERP Software. He explained how the same would seamlessly integrate all business functions in an enterprise on real time basis. He explained the various concepts of ERP including the different modules and SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT. He very lucidly brought out the reason why ERP in an organization succeeds or fails. The advance features of online costing, VAT & excise integration, inventory, procurement,  order fulfillment and payroll modules were demonstrated and explained using various case studies.

 

Mr. S. Mohan, CFO, DNS e-Business touched upon how the ERP enables an organization to link various functions to accounting, which is the key to success in any organization. He brought out the efficacy and benefits of online costing & compares pre-production costing & post production costing. He also vividly brought out the benefits of BPR viz. analyzing various financial and operational parameters and the tools to fine tune the same. He concluded by saying that it is not a question of “whether” but “how soon” an enterprise in the SME sector should go in for a system based approach.

 

Mr. Gopinath Bala, Business Executive, Intel gave a good overview of the new technologies in computing. He informed the audience of how Intel had researched and come out with products to suit especially the SME sector.  He explained features of Pentium D or Duo Processor and XEON processor based SERVERS. 

 

  The seminar was well attended with participants candidly interacting with the speakers. The participants included a cross section of senior Executives, Directors and IT professionals, etc., from different Industry segments from Pune.

 


  • 28 September 2006A one day seminar-cum-workshop was jointly organized by the Chamber of Marathwada Industries & Agriculture (CMIA), Aurangabad, and DNS e-Business Consultancy, Pune at Hotel Ambassador Ajanta.  [Please click on the picture to enlarge].

 

Mr. S. S. Bhandiwad, President CMIA and President & Director of Endress+Hauser Flowtec (India) Pvt. Ltd., inaugurating the seminar [second from left].  He gave an overview of ERP in the manufacturing sector.  He told the participants that ERP, if implemented thoroughly will support production process.  He stressed that his experience was that ERP reduces complexities in business process. He drove home the point by citing examples of Toyota & Dell and how ERP has helped these companies immensely in sourcing information on real time basis.  He urged upon the participants to take full advantage of the workshop.

 

Mr. Ajay Deshkar, Executive Director, Expert Net CAD, an authority in CAD-CAM [third from left in the picture].   shared his experiences on the subject. Mr. Deshkar also stressed that customization is the key to the success of effective ERP implementation.
