  • Work History

    1975 – 1979 Computer Service Engineer, IBM & ICL computer systems.

    Servicing and troubleshooting of mainframe computers such as IBM 1401, IBM 360 Mainframe system hardware. Specially trained in Germany on the mainframe Computer System.  Installed IBM 1401 mainframe computer in TATA Motors (then called Telco) in 1979.  Servicing of ICL 1901 computer.

  • Work experience:

           Extensive Computer Hardware experience:  Assembled and sold over 10,000 PC’s in the period 1984 to 1999. 

  • Carried out software development for customers in Singapore and UAE.  Pioneer in introducing computerization to industries in India way back in 1980.    Responsibilities included IT project management, Business Development, and Sales. Managed project team consisting highly qualified software engineers.  Several successful I. T.  projects carried out.  Projects included hardware and software integration for corporate giants such as TATA Motors, Alfa Laval, Bharat Forge, The Automotive Research Association of India, Indian Railways, Municipality, Express Transport (Mumbai), Express Hotel (Vadodara), Bajaj Auto, Emcure, Vanaz, and hundreds of other small and medium size companies.

  • A Payroll System was deployed in early nineties. It was deployed in many organizations including Bharat Forge Ltd., a large corporation having 3,000 people and a complex set of earning and deduction parameters.

  • An online inventory management system was developed for a Gold distribution company (Dubai) in the Middle East. Another project ‘Membership Management System’ including finance and resource planning system was carried out for a Leisure Club in Singapore.

  • Training DoctorsSeminar for Doctors in Goa (way back in 1999).  A special seminar was conducted by Mr. Zaveri to demonstrate the use of internet to medical professionals.  How to use the search engines, website, download medical journals etc. was shown live.  The seminar 'Internet for Medicos' in Hotel Mandovi.  Mr. Zaveri has conducted many classes for Doctors in Pune and Mumbai personally to use the computer and especially internet.

  • Organized and conducted hundreds of professional seminars and workshops for executives, professionals, and in-house audiences.  Emphasis is on presenting cutting–edge technologies to non-technical audiences. Conducted classes where Hundreds of senior executives are trained.

Where a Server can be accessed from anywhere, anytime in the world for any existing application without modifying any program. Comprehensive knowledge in ‘Remote Access’ software, which enables software engineer to support and debug from distant support center.  Knowledge of ISDN line with fixed “I. P. address” for networking solutions for Internet, Intranet, and extranet websites. Expertise in Internet-Meeting, Video-conferencing, enterprise wide communication solutions.

  •  Proficiency in technical writing. Creating manuals and documentation. Programming Languages: HTML, Active Server Pages (ASP) using MS FrontPage 2003. 

Education

  • Mr. Zaveri finished his engineering (Electronics) from VJTI, Mumbai, India;  First Class (1975).  He was specially trained in Germany (1977).  He was formally trained in COBOL programming language (1982).  He further did a professional course in Unix operating system (1987).  Having hardware background of IBM, he gained knowledge of assembling personal computer.  (first made and sold in 1986.  He mastered 'Pentium Processor & Server Architecture' by Intel (1996).  He specialized in 'Windows NT Operating Systems & Microsoft Small Business Server by Microsoft, (1996).
