ERP is used to manage manufacturing business.
The diagram given below explains location wise, various transactions and the
items flow in a typical multi-plant or multi-company scenario. ERP stores
the location code on each transaction so that MIS is available for each company,
each plant and each location such as stores, third party (sub-contractor)
locations, etc.

There are two sister concerns - company 1
and company 2 - belongs to same owner, however, separate identity of the
company code and location code is maintained whenever there is any money
transaction or any material movement.

The Head Office is also a separate location,
where marketing activities taking place, such as receiving sales enquiries,
sample, etc.
