BACKGROUND:

This is a medium scale industry manufacturing corrugated boxes.

  • Their clientele includes companies such as Bajaj Auto Ltd., PepsiCo India Holdings, L’Oreal, Merloni Thermo, Rinder India, Bestrech Elastomers and a few other medium and large companies. Raw Material is paper purchased from the paper mills and some work is carried out by the sub-contractor (outsourcing of printing).  The M. D. has taken keen interest in automation of various business processes right from the quotation stage to dispatch.

  • DNS has provided us the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and we have been using the same for the last five years. This software is quite robust and has immensely helped us to take care of our entire business functions. DNS ERP user has no hesitation in recommending this ERP software especially for the small and medium scale sector. This is an ISO 9000 company.

ISSUES & CHALLENGES:

  • Apart from the best practices and functionality provided by DNS it has modules of functionality around the ERP system and integrated with the quality system.  For instance, the customer purchase order (our sales order) is booked with sales delivery schedule in DNS, with the relevant material specification such as size, grade, GSM, quantities, sales price, etc.

  • The order is created by defaulting the quotation automatically.  The work order for production is linked to the schedule.

  • Provide the right information to the right people at the right time throughout the company.

This is a leading corrugated box-manufacturing business.  Own purchase and producing as well as Subcontractor IN (material received from customer) both Labor charges bill as well as normal invoice.    DNS ERP helps in sales order processing to keep quality concisions customers such as L'Oreal, Pepsi Food, etc.
