INDIAN GOOSEBERRY:

The Indian gooseberry is another valuable remedy for tuberculosis. A tablespoon each of fresh amla juice and honey, mixed together, should be taken every morning in treating this disease. Its regular use will promote vigour and vitality in the body within a few days 1
 

PINEAPPLE

Pineapple juice is beneficial in the treatment of tuberculosis. It has been found to be effective in dissolving mucus and aiding recovery. This juice was used regularly in the past in treating this disease when it was more common than it is at present. One glass of pineapple juice is recommended daily.
 

BANANA

Bananas are considered useful in tuberculosis. The juice of the plantain or the ordinary cooking bananas works miracles in tile cure of tuberculosis. It claims to have cured patients in an advanced stage of this disease with frequent cough, abundant expectoration and high fever in two months, by this treatment.
 

ORANGE:

Oranges are useful in the treatment of tuberculosis. A glass of orange juice should be mixed with a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of honey and taken daily by the patient. Due to its saline action in the lungs, it eases expectoration and protects the body from secondary infections.

STRAWBERRY

It is very rich in potassium, natural sugars, vitamins and mineral elements. It has high water content that ranges from 80-90 per cent, which helps in cleansing the entire system. 

It has many medicinal properties and is especially beneficial for the intestinal tract, liver, kidneys and the heart. It is supposed to cure rheumatic disorders. It must be eaten in large quantities during the winter in order to prevent tuberculosis and anemia. 
 

POMEGRANATE:

Pomegranate is a wonderful fruit with some amazing medicinal and curative properties. It is very light on the stomach and easy to digest. But most importantly it is an excellent heart tonic. 

It has 77 per cent water content and is extremely rich in sodium, vitamin A, B and C. It contains glucose, fructose, tannins and oxalic acid. It provides sufficient amount of minerals to the liver and assimilates vitamin A from our food intake. It increases resistance towards tuberculosis and tones up the heart, liver and kidneys. It is also known to relieve hypertension, mental tension and hysteria.

DRUMSTICK:

A soup prepared from drumstick leaves has been found valuable in this disease. This soup is prepared by adding a handful of leaves to 200 ml of water which has been heated to a boiling point. The water should then be allowed to boil for five minutes more. After that it should be removed from the fire and allowed to cool. A little salt, pepper, and lime juice may be added to this soup. This drink should be taken first thing every morning.
 

BOTTLE GOURD:

The use of bottle gourd is considered an effective remedy for tuberculosis. Bottle gourd is one of the best vegetables for tuberculosis patients. Regular use of cooked bottle gourd helps in developing immunity against tubercular germs.
 

MINT:

The fresh juice of mint has also been found useful in this disease. A teaspoon of this juice, mixed with two teaspoons of pure malt vinegar and an equal quantity of honey, should be stirred in 120 ml of carrot juice. This should be given as a medicinal tonic thrice daily in the treatment of tuberculosis. It liquefies the sputum, nourishes the lungs, increases body resistance against infection, and prevents the harmful effects of anti-tubercular drugs.

BUTTER:

Taking butter with sugar candy and ghee cures Tuberculosis. and provides strength.

LEMON:

Tuberculosis patients suffering from chronic fever should drink a glass of warm water with 11 leaves of basil, salt, cumin seeds and asafoetida thrice daily for a few days.

APPLE:

Eating apples is beneficial for patients of' Tuberculosis It is useful for intestines, liver and brain.

MANGO:

Mix 60 grams. of honey in a cup of mango juice and take it twice daily in the morning and evening. Also take cow milk thrice daily. Taking this treatment for 21 days will prove to be quite beneficial. 

GRAPES:

One should eat grapes for food for the cure of Tuberculosis.

LARGE RAISINS:

Grind large raisins, long pepper and sugar in equal quantity and take a tsp. of it twice daily in the morning and evening. It will cure Tuberculosis, asthma and cough.

COCONUT:

Eating 25 grams. of fresh or ground coconut kills the germs of Tuberculosis and provides strength to the lungs.

DATES:

Eating dates is beneficial for patient of Tuberculosis.

CLOVES:

Cloves are an effective cure for Tuberculosis.

CARROTS:

Taking carrot juice is beneficial in Tuberculosis. It contains nutrients in a balanced form.

CAULIFLOWER:

Eating raw cauliflower or as a cooked vegetable checks vomiting with blood. Tuberculosis. patients should eat it regularly.

MAIZE:

At early stages of Tuberculosis, the patient should eat maize flour bread.

WALNUT:

Grind walnut and garlic in equal quantity and saute in cow's ghee. Its use is beneficial in Tuberculosis.

HONEY:

Take 25 grams. of honey mixed with 100 grams. of butter.

After the all-fruit diet, the patient should adopt a fruit-and­ milk diet for four to six weeks. For this diet, the meals are exactly the same as the all-fruit diet, but with milk added to each fruit meal. The milk should be fresh and unboiled, but may be slightly warmed if desired. It should be sipped very slowly. Thereafter, the patient may adopt a well-balanced diet consisting of seeds, nuts and grains, vegetables and fruits.

The patient should avoid all devitalized foods such as white bread, white sugar, refined cereals, puddings and pies, tinned, canned and preserved foods. He should also shun strong tea, coffee, condiments, pickles and sauces.

The use of milk decoction with garlic has been found beneficial in the treatment of tuberculosis. Four cloves of garlic and one scraped coconut should be boiled in a liter of goat's milk till it is reduced to half. This milk, sweetened with honey, may be drunk early in the morning. This treatment should be continued for at least six weeks.
